Dr. Cheree Sandness-Johnson

Whether you are a weekend warrior, professional athlete or just a busy mom; Dr. Cheree is passionate about helping you to feel better. As the owner of Chiropractic Healing Center, she has assembled a team of professionals who work together to help you achieve total body wellness.

A Minnesota native, Dr. Cheree has treated members of pro football’s Minnesota Vikings as well as Las Vegas-based boxers, body builders, fitness models, triathletes, marathon runners and high school athletes. Educated at the University of Minnesota and Northwestern Health Sciences University, her training has also prepared her to successfully treat common auto accident injuries such as whiplash, headaches, backaches and leg pain.

Licensed to practice since 1999, Dr. Cheree has provided natural healing and pain relief to patients with a range of conditions.

Dr. Michael Ferris, OMD

Dr. Ferris began his career as a Mandarin Chinese translator and interpreter after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Asian studies and a minor in Chinese language from San Diego State University. After living and working in Taipei for over 11 years, he returned to San Diego to study traditional Chinese medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

In addition to providing patients alternative therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion and cupping; Dr. Ferris is also a professor of oriental medicine and Chinese language at the prestigious Wongu University located here in Las Vegas.

When he’s not practicing here alongside his wife, Dr. Rachel Kohl, you might find him hiking, backpacking, reading, woodworking or just hanging out with Kira, an 8-year-old Siberian husky he rescued from the streets of Taipei.

As a student at San Diego’s Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Dr. Kohl participated in over 1000 hours of clinical internships in addition to her regular coursework. It was during this time that an externship at the University of California San Diego’s Cancer Center that she became passionate about integrating Oriental medicine techniques such as acupuncture and herbal medicine along with radiation and chemotherapy for cancer patients.

Our patients at Chiropractic Health Services describe Dr. Kohl as compassionate and understanding because of the time she takes with them to create an enjoyable therapy program specifically for them. In addition to working with oncology patients, she also provides relief for patients suffering from various internal ailments and orthopedic issues.

In her free time Dr. Kohl enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Ferris as well as hiking, cooking and photography. She can also be found teaching Psychology at Wongu University, Nevada’s only school for Oriental Medicine.
