Understanding Chiropractic Care and how it works
Chiropractic care is based on the spine and nervous system interacting together, as well as musculoskeletal disorders and their effects on general health.
The nervous system is extremely important, as it controls your whole body. Nerves exit out of the spine; therefore they have a great impact on the body’s health.
Back pain is something that many people just live with instead of seeking help. But with chiropractic doctors, this can be taken care of and your body can get the attention and care it deserves.
Chiropractic works and spinal adjustments help your body in many ways, including reducing pain in joints and muscles as well as connective tissues, and enhancing your nervous systems ability to function!
During your first visit I will examine you and ask what specific problems you have been having, and address any questions regarding the nature of pain that you are in.
Once I have diagnosed you I will develop a personalized treatment plan. Depending on what is causing you pain and the state of severity for the tissue, you may receive treatment the same day.

It is important for you to relax when being worked on. When you are tense or stiff it makes it hard to work on the area that needs attention.
Chiropractic adjustments usually do not hurt. In general, our patients enjoy being adjusted and like the way the feel after. Many times a popping sound is heard during the adjustment, which can be concerning for some. However, the popping sounds are just made when pockets of gas release from the joints – completely normal!
Our patients normally feel better after a few visits, although more visits may be needed. Each treatment program is developed specifically to fit your needs.
Sometimes patients make the mistake of getting treatment once and failing to follow up with their recommended treatments after. For this reason, patients will sometimes continue to feel pain even after the initial adjustment. You should complete the full-recommended treatment plan for the best results possible. It can take time for the results to be noticeable, however with continued treatment you will notice that your pain can be eased and even completely relieved.
