With so many rules and regulations involved in using healthcare benefits, it can be confusing to know what is covered under your plan and how to best use it. If your plan requires referrals to see a specialist, it doesn’t mean that you can’t see a chiropractor without a referral—chiropractors are considered primary care providers in all 50 states.
Although our training and methods differ from general practice physicians, our goal is actually very similar: to treat a variety of conditions so that all of your body systems are working properly and you feel great.
Chiropractic care can be used to treat a variety of conditions besides whiplash and back pain:
- Ear Infection
The connection between chiropractic care and wellness is actually very strong. Chiropractic care focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system that is comprised of your nervous system, muscles and bones. When these areas are out of alignment, the results are not only uncomfortable; it can also lead to nerve function and blood flow to be restricted. That’s what can lead to health conditions that aren’t traditionally associated with chiropractic care.
One of the best things that you can do to keep your body in good health is to have regular chiropractic adjustments. Of course we are always happy to see you when a problem comes up, but regular visits to our practice can actually prevent health issues by ensuring that you body’s systems are not being weakened by subluxations in your joints and spine.
